Rock, Mineral, & Gem Shows of Utah - 2026

Utah is one of the best states in the country for rockhounds, gem collectors, and crystal lovers — and 2026 is shaping up to be our biggest year yet. Whether you are a seasoned collector or just discovering the world of minerals and gems, there is a Crystal Festival show near you this year.

Here is your complete guide to every rock, mineral, gem, and crystal show we are hosting across Utah in 2026.

What Is a Crystal Festival Show?

Crystal Festival shows are curated gem and mineral events featuring 30+ hand-selected vendors from across the country and around the world. Every vendor is vetted for quality — you will find everything from raw specimens and polished stones to handmade jewelry, fossils, meteorites, and educational displays.

Every show includes:

  • 30+ quality vendors with a wide range of price points
  • Kid's Activities — we believe the next generation of rockhounds starts here
  • Free admission at most locations
  • Friendly, knowledgeable vendors who love talking about their specimens

What to Expect at a Crystal Festival Show

The Vendors

Every Crystal Festival show features carefully selected vendors who bring specimens from around the world. You will find:

  • Raw minerals and specimens — everything from common quartz to rare collector pieces
  • Polished stones and cabochons — perfect for jewelry makers and collectors
  • Crystal jewelry — handmade pieces from talented artisans
  • Fossils and meteorites — for the geology enthusiast
  • Educational displays — great for kids and curious adults alike

Tips for First-Time Attendees

Bring cash. Many vendors accept cards, but cash is always appreciated and sometimes gets you a better deal.

Come early. The best specimens go fast, especially at smaller shows. Early birds get the best selection.

Ask questions. Our vendors love talking about their pieces. Don't be shy — ask where a specimen came from, how it formed, or what makes it special. You will learn something every time.

Bring a bag or box. You are going to find things you love. Come prepared to carry them home safely.

Bring the kids. Crystal Festival shows are family-friendly events. Kids' activities are available at every show, and there is nothing quite like watching a child discover their first crystal.

Why Utah Is a Rockhound's Paradise

Utah's geology is extraordinary. The state sits at the intersection of multiple geological provinces — the Colorado Plateau, the Basin and Range, and the Middle Rocky Mountains — creating an incredible diversity of minerals and formations.

Utah is home to:

  • Topaz Mountain in the West Desert, famous for topaz and red beryl
  • Dugway Geode Beds, one of the best geode collecting sites in the world
  • Dinosaur National Monument, where fossil hunting has a long history
  • Countless agate, jasper, and petrified wood localities across the state

When you attend a Crystal Festival show in Utah, you are connecting with that rich geological heritage. Many of our vendors source locally, and you will often find Utah specimens you simply cannot find anywhere else.
